(Led Zep tribute)
Hammer of the Gods are a Leicester based Led Zeppelin tribute band.
That means capturing the look,sound and spirit of a Led Zeppelin live show
from the fully bombastic onslaught to the gentler acoustic songs, from a thunderstorm to a whisper as Led Zeppelin often described themselves.
This tribute act has been going a year and in that time quickly gone from support slots to their own headlining shows around the UK.
The band so far has been fully self contained combining individual skills to produce their own recordings and videos.
The band take their cues from Led Zeppelins early days shows, youthful energy cranked the max, blistering guitar solos, high pitched vocal wails, thunderous drums all glued together with intricate bass lines. They fearlessly tackle the repertoire with a touch of the improvisational element and there you have it the complete Led Zeppelin package.
Hammer of the Gods will be playing their first headlining show in Leicester at Duffy’s Bar on Saturday 15th April. This will be a chance for any Led Zeppelin fans old and new to see the band perform a complete set of classic songs..
