Contender for my album of last year with 'See' (even tho it was released in 2012 ;-) Pete Williams has a new album out, 'Roughnecks and Roustabouts' and is busy putting the word out around the country.

Produced by Mike Timm, who worked with Richard Hawley on his first two solo albums, it is a record very much about place and memory and features songs drawing on Williams´ experiences as a 15 year old apprentice foundryman (his first `real´ job) in the industrial West Midlands and his transition into playing in various bands at nights and weekends across the area.

Primarily recorded live and featuring his regular band of Shez Sheridan (guitars, lap-steel), Dean Beresford (drums) and Laurence Saywood (bass), the album also features contributions from Mick Talbot (keyboards), Josie Lawrence (vocals), Clive Mellor (harmonica) and Dan McCormack (piano).

Pete is a founding member of Dexys Midnight Runners and played a pivotal part in their 2003 live return and their 2012 much acclaimed come-back album One Day I´m Going To Soar.

Now, after three years of festivals and global touring, Pete is excited about presenting his new album in this intimate space in his home town and it promises to be an unmissable show.
